2 more line drawings
Two of my latest line drawings. Finished them a while back by now but things take a while from finalising a drawing to posting about it. I love these little drawings, more freedom and despite being smaller there’s more room to explore. A tiny piece of paper can open up an entire world without being overwhelmed by it. Surely but steadily depth is created.
People talk about minimalism. Owning less things making people happier. It’s true can’t deny that. But drawings, decorating empty walls with something significant to you, can light something inside of you daily, a spark, an idea or more.
Sparking a though in someone’s mind is at times the biggest gift you can give. Catalysing a reaction, the birth of something new, even if it’s the birth of motivation, that can’t be overlooked, that’s powerful. It’s powerful to create something that ignites the soul of people in a meaningful way.
I wish more people would realise that about the impact of art.
Motivation to live life, that’s a big one. We need that … Seeing that life is worth living after you encounter a drawing that speaks to you vividly, by chance or by ‘divine alignment’, like the red thread linking us all as the Chinese belief says. I am sure it happened to us all at some point, walking in an exhibition with many paintings and 1, 2 just draw you in as if they are trying to tell you a message. There’s a conversation that starts happening, something inside you finds itself in that artwork.
Very boldly said ‘change your life’, yet it can give you a boost and a desire to go on.
But there’s more to art than it’s seen on the surface.
