{7} Lines

One of my larger line drawings called: Subway station.

I like larger drawings but they take a lot of time to complete. I remind myself that I need to focus and keep on going. This drawing is 30cmx84cm. The inspiration for this drawing and the color scheme came from an album cover of a song called “Train after train”. I’ll leave the link to it below in case you wanna check it out.

The only ‘line’ moving in a subway is the metro. Or is it? People … the lives of the people inside the metro: complexity and surprises, so many different threads. Got to travel by metro quite a bit this spring while in Seoul. Sometimes the subway is chaotic, otherwise peaceful, you are going home so you feel relaxed while you wait, or you are in a hurry to get somewhere on time, exciting and other times lonely … same Subway Station ... point of convergence.

Îmi plac desenele mai mari, dar ele necesită mult timp pentru a fi finalizate. Îmi reamintesc că trebuie să mă concentrez și să continui. Acest desen are 30cmx84cm. Inspirația pentru acest desen și schema de culori au venit de la coperta unei melodii numită „Tren după tren”. Linkul este mai sus în cazul în care vrei să asculți piesa.

Singura „linie” care se mișcă intr-o stație de metrou este metroul. Să fie așa? Oameni, viețile oamenilor din metrou: complexitate și surprize, atât de multe fire diferite. Am avut ocazia să mă plimb destul de mult cu metroul în această primăvară în Seul. Uneori, metroul este haotic, alte ori liniștit, mergi acasă așa că ești relaxat în timp ce aștepți, sau te grăbești să ajungi undeva la timp, entuziasmant și alteori singuratic... aceeași stație de metrou... punct de convergență.
