Playing with lines as per usual
If everyone would draw lines, simple line, ‘meaningless’ lines, free lines … I am sure our lines would be so different.
Drawing my lines, is me, the movement of life through me.
Drawing your lines, is you.
It’s speaks of our own inner world, being and soul in a seemingly basic and primitive way.
There are also lines that repeat themselves, because certain gestures repeat themselves, because our hands have our limits, and here we speak of our common ground.
It’s actually quite philosophical and deep.
The act of drawing these lines, one by one, repeating, slowly tracing is like a meditative practice. Patience - cultivating it, cultivating vision, cultivating beauty, creating.
Drawing lines is not about learning anything, or rather it is not something to be learned, at most is learning to express yourself, your inner world through the movement of the lines. Just like with dancing, your unique character is shown through the little kicks and extra edge you add to your moves, these details showcase your personal style.

By the way we move, dress, fit out clothes, brush our hair, turn our head, walk …
Lines and curves in every single thing.
Lines and curves have longed been analysed and studied by people in fields such as math and astronomy, among which there are Euclid, Descartes, Archimedes, Newton and so many more. Lines and curves seem to link many names and many disciplines and aspects concerning the BIG universe. Analysing a ‘simple’ line seems to drag us into the laws and mysteries of the cosmos. What keeps a spiral spiralling, what variable changes a curve’s direction from an upward direction to a downward one … questions we probably didn’t ask ourselves since school days, and even then, some of those concepts were never really understood; yet it all makes sense, so much sense we don’t even think about it. We just keep on making lines and curves like it’s our second nature. Cuz it is 😄. We too are made of ‘lines’, 3D shaped in a 3D frame.
