Final paint strokes on the 2024 canvas
The goal for this this year has been to complete 6 large drawings. I haven’t achieved this goal by the book so to speak, but I am happy with what I did achieve and been able to create. Up until now I shared 4 out of the 6 planned drawings in my previous posts. Today I am presenting you the 5th completed drawing entitled ‘Enchanting Golden Beams of Light’ and a 6th one, which doesn’t have a name yet and hopefully will get finalised in 2025.
The plants from this mockup and the concrete wall go so well with the concept of this drawing. The squares/blocks and lines complemented by the circle, light and the warmth of the sun touching the leaves; pretty much the idea I was trying to evoke through this drawing. The sun makes everything so much better, brings a sort of vibrancy, we all know the feeling, it changes the mood and atmosphere, stirs up the magic around. Exactly what we need these cold winter days. 😌✨☀️
The inspiration for this drawing came from a picture I saw, of a Japanese round window, while looking through an album about Japanese households.
For 2025 I haven’t made any specific plans, though I still have a few unfinished drawings I want to work on, including the one bellow. Looking at the picture it may seem the drawing is almost done, but the image actually captures only 1 panel out of 5 that are on the same paper; each panel containing it’s own individual set of smaller frames.
